Engine Oil is an important part of the trading and training of Naft Andish Yekta PTE Company.
The company started importing one of the Fully Synthetic based motor oil brands from Japan in 2015 through Singapore. 
The customers of this oil were reputable companies of Iran Benz( setareh iran co.), Toyota ( irtoya), reputable and large repair shops in Tehran and provincial centers, and the brand was viewed on the main site of German Benz standards and had approval certificates of MB229.5, MB2295.1, MB229.3, etc.
 * Engine oil is made on the basis of two big types of base oil :
             Mineral base  - Synthetic base
*Mineral engine oils are from the bases of API groups 1, 2 & 3, and synthetic oils are from the bases of  API  group4 (PAO s) & group 5 (ESTER s ).

API : American Petroleum Institute  - API is a big global standard organization.

* The advantages of groups 4and 5 (Fully Synthetic groups) compared to oil engine oils are many, including: long consumption life, high oxidation resistance, reduction of car engine fuel consumption, environmental compatibility, no corrosion, no friction, low SAPS ... 
Disadvantages: They are expensive and not produced in many countries.


Important Note : semi synthetic motor oils  are only blend of two base  : ( %X mineral base oil groups 2 or 3   +  %Y synthetic base oil groups 4 or 5 ) , and means depend on  process & formulations of  companies . semi-synthetic  is not  API base oil group .It is only for the purpose of market sales by companies.

Engine Oil Yekta Group, since 2015, has been importing 4th and 5th generation car lubricants under the TOTACHI brand as an exclusive representative from Japan and through Singapore.

API  C - Series Services Classification For Commercial Cars DIESEL Engine Oil :


The current and previous API Service Categories are summarized in convenient charts. Vehicle owners should refer to their owner's manuals before consulting these charts. Oils may have more than one performance level.
For automotive gasoline engines, the latest engine oil service category includes the performance properties of each earlier category. If an automotive owner's manual calls for an API SN oil, an API SP oil will provide full protection. For diesel engines, the latest category usually - but not always - includes the performance properties of an earlier category.
API’s Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System (EOLCS) is a voluntary licensing and certification program that authorizes engine oil marketers that meet specified requirements to use the API Engine Oil Quality Marks. Launched in 1993, API’s Engine Oil Program is a cooperative effort between the oil and additive industries and vehicle and engine manufacturers Ford, General Motors, and Fiat Chrysler and those represented by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association and the Truck and Engine Manufacturers Association.
The performance requirements and test methods are established by vehicle and engine manufacturers and technical societies and trade associations such as (ASTM), (SAE), and the American Chemistry Council (ACC).

SAE : Society of Automotive Engineers -This society is responsible for establishing a classification system based solely on oil viscosity.Organization SAE works for the quality of motor oils of automotive and industrial lubricants while monitoring the quality of production based on the viscosity. Writing and displaying this standard on the containers of all lubricants is mandatory.

SAE's charitable arm is the SAE Foundation, which supports many programs, including A World In Motion® and the Collegiate Design Series.

ISO-International Organization for Standardization

ISO is a big global & international organization to all industry sections.ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees.

Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee.

International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.

 MIL-L engine oil quality level standard:

The word MIL-L stands for MILitary Lubricant, motor oil and lubricants related to military applications. Some of the quality levels of this standard are MIL-L46152A, MIL2104D, MIL-L2104A, B, MIL-L2104C, MIL-L45199B, and MIL-L46114. , 5. Of course, there are many other classifications for the quality level of engine oil that are not general. Such as the classification of Volkswagen (VW), MAN (MAN), Mercedes-Benz and Mack.

In most of the countries and the dear country of Iran, among the above classifications, the most common API is the standard of the quality level of engine oil. Therefore, in detail, the quality level standard of engine oil is described in the section.

ILSAC : International Lubricants Standardization and Approval Committee

The ILSAC standards, denoted by the terminology ILSAC GF-x, are based upon the API service categories and bring additional performance requirements, for example fuel economy improvement, and restrictions in the viscosity grades that may claim to meet an ILSAC standard.

Founded in 1992, the International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) is an organization through which Ford, General Motors, Chrysler and the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (JAMA) develop minimum performance standards for passenger car engine oils used in gasoline fuelled engines.

The ILSAC standards, denoted by the terminology ILSAC GF-x, are based upon the API service categories and bring additional performance requirements, for example fuel economy improvement, and restrictions in the viscosity grades that may claim to meet an ILSAC standard.

ILSAC utilizes the API’s Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System (EOLCS). This is a voluntary licensing and certification program that authorizes engine oil marketers who meet specified requirements to use the API Engine Oil Quality Marks. These emblems go directly on each container of oil that retains the certification for and is there to help consumers identify a engine oils for their gasoline-powered vehicles. Only oils meeting the latest ILSAC standard may use the API Certification Mark.




As you can see in the tables and diagrams above, engine oil is completely affected by its viscosity factor against engine temperature and geographical environment.

Therefore, in purchasing and using any type of engine oil, it is necessary to pay attention to the geographical conditions and type of technology of the year of manufacture of the car engine, as well as the number of cylinders and the type of mineral or synthetic base oil so that your car repair costs do not increase.

The engine has always been the ultimate platform for identifying the required quality of its oil. Even as engine design has changed to meet performance, fuel efficiency and environmental standards, the engine continues to be the ultimate arbiter of oil quality.

However, using the engine to measure oil quality in dynamometer tests can be an expensive proposition. Even so, to help control warranty costs, the development and use of engine tests is unavoidable for engine manufacturers when determining the oil quality needed for a particular design or component.

Although necessary, generating repeatable dynamometer tests for an engine can be challenging. As engine design has progressively increased power from smaller engines, the difficulty of establishing repeatable dynamometer tests has grown even more rapidly. Fortunately, once the quality level has been determined on the dynamometer or in the field, there is a much less expensive approach that can be applied to more precisely appraise the oil quality.
